John Weaver
John Weaver focuses on senior executive search and assessment assignments across a variety of industry sectors including basic materials, building & construction, capital and electrical equipment, automotive and process manufacturing as well as industrial services. He has extensive experience in all aspects of management including business development, marketing, operations, information technology and leadership development.
Prior to joining Intrepid Consulting Group, Mr. Weaver was an industrial practice leader with Russell Reynolds Associates, the premier global executive search and assessment firm. Mr. Weaver has successfully recruited numerous corporate officers and senior functional leaders across a wide variety of major industrial manufacturers and service providers as well as small and mid-sized privately-held companies. He has a broad range of experience providing consultation services with clients in global executive search mandates, senior management leadership appraisal, board of director assessments and advisory assignments.
Before entering the executive search profession, Mr. Weaver was Vice President of Customer & Marketing Services with Alcoa, the world’s leading producer of aluminum products and services. In that role, he was responsible for driving sustainable, enterprise-wide profitable growth across all market sectors. Prior to that, Mr. Weaver conceptualized and led Alcoa’s internet business and held a variety of strategic marketing and operational positions in several businesses.
John holds an M.B.A. from Northwestern University and a B.A. in Marketing (Honors) from Michigan State University. He resides in the Chicago metropolitan area with his wife and three children. John has served as an Adjunct Professor at St. Ambrose University and is an Advisor and Executive Mentor with Women Unlimited, which provides leadership and business acumen development guidance to high-potential, achievement-oriented female leaders.
